The Clear View School offers students a fully comprehensive therapeutic treatment program within an academic setting that fully complies with New York State Standards. Students have the opportunity to receive a NYS Regents Diploma, Regents Diploma with Distinction, a local diploma, and a Career Development and Occupational Studies Credential (CDOS). Class sizes are small, with a student/teacher ratio of 3:1, allowing for individualized and small group instruction tailored to each student’s needs. Special education services are available along with life skills and prevocational studies offered at all levels. The Clear View School is a New York State Office of Mental Health licensed facility.
Upon admission to Clear View, a comprehensive individualized plan is developed for each child addressing unique and specific mental health treatment needs and therapeutic teaching strategies. Treatment plans are designed and implemented by a dedicated and highly-qualified clinical staff and are fully integrated with the academic program. Each child and family is assigned a therapist who will work with them during their entire time at Clear View.
Recognizing the importance of the family’s role, parents/guardians are required to participate in counseling and treatment which is also provided by Clear View professionals. Treatment can be accessed through the 24 hour telephone crisis response line after school hours and on the weekend in times of crisis.
