The Clear View School and Day Treatment Center serves boys and girls ages 3 to 21 who have been referred by their local school districts from their Committees on Special Education. Typically, our students have been unable to progress in traditional educational settings due to psychiatric illness or emotional disability and would benefit from a small, structured, therapeutic environment. Clear View students come from over thirty surrounding communities, to receive the intensive education and mental health services they need to thrive. While Clear View children may exhibit a normal range of intelligence, from giftedness to mild developmental disability, their academic progress is commonly hindered by their emotional and psychiatric disabilities. In some instances they must also contend with additional conditions such as learning disabilities, speech or language disorders, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders or physical disabilities. It is Clear View’s goal that all students will progress academically as they receive the treatment they need.
