RE-OPENING PLAN

Latest News from Clear View School

Governor Cuomo has announced that schools will not reopen this academic year, and that remote education will continue to the end of the academic year.  His directives regarding summer school will be given at the end of the month.
Clear View school will continue providing remote education through the school year, integrated with the remote provision of all of the Day Treatment mental health outreach and treatment services. We are planning for the summer program, which we anticipate will be provided by continuation of remote services.
It is time also for us to begin to reimagine Clear View as we start to develop a plan for the eventual reopening of the Clear View School Day Treatment Center.  As many have pointed out, this will not be an off/on switch.  We have to be comprehensive in making a plan and continuously evaluating it, in order to open our facility and services safely.  Everyone’s contribution to this effort is important.  We will follow the Governor’s directives and guidance on timing and implementation.  We will take it as our responsibility to be creative and comprehensive in what this will look like, and to present this to SED and OMH.
